Mauri Gul rugs are made very high quality with dense knots. It is an ideal luxurious rug for living room, or for dining room. It can also be very elegant in the study or big lobby.
The Afghan rugs called Mauris, after the Merv Oasis, where the weavers originated have an unusually low knot count. Afghan Mauri rugs are not based on the traditional Turkoman guls.
Our collection of Mauri Gul Rugs originate from Afghan tribes reputed for their finely knotted rugs and attention to consistency and beauty of design. Mauri Gul rugs are known to have sharp patterns, boldly geometric designs and smooth weaves.
